Every journey has a starting point, and Dr. Anjulika Salhan started her academic journey at Miranda House, University of Delhi, where she earned a B.A. Hons in Mathematics. She excelled in her studies, winning awards like the Silver Jubilee award (now known as the Golden Jubilee award) and the Thiagarajan Award.

After that, Dr. Salhan enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D), to pursue her master's degree. She took a competitive entrance exam and ranked first, earning the National Board of Higher Mathematics Award.

After completing her academic degree, Dr. Salhan pursued two postdoctoral and doctoral programs at Birmingham and Brighton Universities. Her research involved several aspects, including Underwater Explosion Bubble and Sinking of Submarines, Moving Contact Line Problem for detection of oil bubbles in the sea, Hydration of cement for oil wells which involved mathematical chemistry. Her work includes research articles published in global journals and lectures at well-known symposiums.

Essential Roles in AI and Fintech Development

Dr. Salhan's commitment to enhancing AI technologies includes her appointment as chair of the IMA's inaugural congress on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in 2024 and also for the forthcoming Artificial congress in 2026.Dr Salhan is one of leads and the driver for IMA’s (Institute of Mathematics and its Applications) Special Interest Group in Foundational Mathematics for AI (SIGMAi). Her deep understanding of mathematics, finance, and actuarial science has led her to develop unique ideas, particularly in fintech.
